Foundation for Legal Technologies Development announces the end of the Law Essay Competition 2008.
We would like to thank all participants who have submitted their works!
Summing up the results of the Law Essay Competition 2008, the Experts commission would like to state that all participants showed creativity and a high level of knowledge, independent approach in their works. The Experts commission would like to point out multidimensional character of writings and wide scope of subjects raised by participants in their essays.
The competitors focused their attention on such important and debatable questions as prospects of the ombudsman institution in the Republic of Belarus, improvements of the legal profession institution, other questions of legal and judicial reforms.
We are happy to announce that by the decision of the Experts commission, best works are:
"Problems of Development of Belarusian Legislation in the Field of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms Protection" (First diploma);
"Principles of Independent Judicial System as a Prerequisite for Forming a Jural State" (Second diploma);
"Execute not Pardon" (Third diploma);
"Constitutional Justice: Problems and Perspectives of Reforms" (Third diploma).
Due to the lack of works from lecturers, postgraduates and holders of a master’s degree, the Experts commission concluded that the competition in this category has not taken place and would like to thank all of those who have submitted their works.
In addition to the works awarded, the following essays were recommended for publication on the webpage of the Foundation for Legal Technologies Development:
"Judicial System Reform as a Consequence for Implementation of the Right of Access to Courts";
"A Woman as a Special Legal Subject, or Social Equality=Man+Woman...".
We congratulate the authors of the works! Good luck with your studies and constructive self-realization in the profession you have chosen.
All of the participants will be awarded Certificates.
Foundation for Legal Technologies Development hopes that law students who have submitted their works to the Law Essay Competition will participate in the upcoming programs of FLTD.
